Stephanie Gowler is the Conservator for the Indiana Historical Society. She holds a BA in English Literature from Earlham College, an MLIS and a Certificate in Book Arts from the University of Iowa, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Conservation from the University of Texas at Austin. Stephanie has worked in book and paper conservation since 2003, with experience at the Indiana State Library, the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Film Archive, and Northwestern University Libraries. Stephanie is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation. She served as Secretary/Treasurer of EMG from 2013-2016, co-chair of BPG's Archives Conservation Discussion Group from 2018-2020, and will begin serving on the Education and Training Committee in May 2023.
